Lama Foundation is: a "community", a not-for profit organization, and a "spiritual home" to many. Our Mission is to be both a sustainable spiritual community as well as an educational center dedicated to all spiritual paths.
Situated about 20 miles north of Taos New Mecixo, on just under 110 acres at 8600 feet, Lama Foundation is almost completely surrounded by Carson National Forrest, giving one the feeling of being "way out there", or away from civilization. There are vistas, sunsets, pristine mountain-spring water, vegetarian cooking, and a wide variety of animals that share the mountain with the community.
See Sh'mal's recent blog post "More on the Ganja Boogie Band" for a reference to this intentional community

You probably take pumpkin pie from canned pumpkin for granted. You're there, the can is there, there's a pumpkin on the label... open it and mix it up with spices to make a pie, right? Ah, but a pumpkin pie made from a fresh pumpkin tastes so much better than the glop that was processed last year!
Molokhiya is known as the king of vegetables. Its carotene contents are 4.6 times more than spinach, which Popeye loved, and 19 times more than broccoli. Its calcium contents are 9 times more than spinach and 10 times more than broccoli. Even vitamins B1 and B2 are five times more compared to spinach. It contains much more Vitamin E, C, potassium, iron, and other vegetable fibers than any other vegetables. Plus, it tastes incredibly good, especially with toasted pine nuts!

Yes, I'm new to this. I am actually writing a story now. Maybe I'll get around to posting one or two. :) I like James Patterson & Stephen King. I read their books over and over :)
