I am about to go to my garden. It's time to weed. The daikon seeds Sh'mal encouraged me to save will be used for Fall planting. I'm going to try and sprout them using a damp piece of paper.

I'm happy because Ron said I could have some heirloom broccoli seed from his patch. Tiny little things! He said to store them in the refrigerator until time to plant, probably next winter. We talked about heirloom seed advantages like sustainable renewable gardens that heirloom seeds make possible. In other words, you can plant heirloom seeds, grow the plants and then let them go to seed and replant using the same seeds. Nice!

His frames, especially the famous "Model A" frames of the 1960s and 70s, had a special sculptural aesthetic and unorthodoxy in their shaping. This set Eisentraut bicycles apart from the European mimicry that influenced other builders at that time.
